Book the Bucket List
Jul 29, 2026
By Tiffany Fox, Founder of SwEll peakX™
There is something about the end of July.
The fireworks have faded.
The vacation photos have been posted.
The back-to-school displays are suddenly everywhere.
And whether you have young children, teenagers, college students, or an empty nest, this time of year has a way of whispering:
"Something is changing."
Before we rush into schedules, carpools, football practices, college move-ins, or another season of life, I want to offer you a different invitation.
Keep celebrating.
Not because everything is perfect.
Not because life has gone exactly as planned.
But because you are here.
And that is worth celebrating.
Book the Bucket List
How many times have you said:
"Someday I'll take that trip."
"Someday I'll learn to golf."
"Someday I'll take the dance class."
"Someday I'll call that friend."
"Someday I'll wear the outfit."
The truth is, someday isn't a date on the calendar.
It's a decision.
And July is a beautiful time to make one.
Not ten decisions.
Not a complete life overhaul.
Just one.
Book the trip.
Buy the concert tickets.
Schedule the massage.
Take the class.
Plan the girls' weekend.
Say yes to the adventure.
Because life isn't waiting for you to become less busy.
The Empty Nest Isn't Empty
For some of you, August means dropping a child off at college.
For others, it means watching another year pass a little too quickly.
And for some, it means realizing the house is quieter than it used to be.
That can feel exciting.
It can feel heartbreaking.
Sometimes it's both.
But what if this next season isn't about what you're losing?
What if it's about discovering what is waiting for you?
What hobbies have been sitting on the shelf?
What dreams have been gathering dust?
What parts of yourself are ready to come out and play again?
Celebrate the Life You Have Built
So often we celebrate milestones:
Graduations.
Weddings.
Birthdays.
Promotions.
But what about celebrating the ordinary victories?
The hard conversations you survived.
The grief you carried.
The healing you've done.
The boundaries you've created.
The confidence you've built.
The mornings you got out of bed when it would have been easier not to.
You don't need a certificate for those victories.
You lived them.
A SwEll peakX™ Challenge
This week, I want you to make a list of five things that sound fun.
Not productive.
Not practical.
Fun.
Then choose one and put it on the calendar before August arrives.
Because the people who create the most joy in their lives aren't waiting for permission.
They're making reservations.
Your Reminder
Life isn't asking you to hurry into the next season.
It's asking you to notice this one.
Celebrate the body that carried you here.
Celebrate the people you love.
Celebrate the lessons you learned.
Celebrate the version of you that kept going.
And if there's something you've been waiting to do?
Book the bucket list.
The next chapter is coming whether you're ready or not.
You might as well make it an adventure.
