The hidden weight of stress doesn’t just live in your thoughts.
It lives in your hips, belly, skin, and libido.
High cortisol encourages fat storage, especially around the midsection.
It disrupts blood sugar and increases inflammation.
That feeling of “I am doing everything, but the scale is not changing” or my skin is so dry. Cortisol. You have little to no sexual desire. If the desire arises, it is hard to fully enjoy. Thank you, cortisol, for the lingering stress.
Libido fades.
Skin reacts.
Breakouts rise.
Desire requires safety.
Pleasure requires presence.
When stress drops, sensuality rises.
Ways to Lower Cortisol:
- Being outside, fresh air & sunshine
- Protein before caffeine. Have some food before the java or limit caffeine.
- Strength training
- 6-7-8 breathing
- Magnesium at night
- Just say no. Release the overschedule
